How to use getLowestEphemeralPort method of org.openqa.selenium.net.Interface EphemeralPortRangeDetector class

The details aren't clear but it looks like you are trying to print the links in the INDUSTRIES section of the footer. If that's true, this should work.

You can't click the links in this loop because once you click the first one, you will no longer be on the page. I would suggest that you store the URLs from each link in an array and then driver.get(url) for each one. Or you could store the expected URLs in an array and compare the URLs from the links to the expected URLs and not have to navigate at all. The choice is up to you...

I also had problems with accepting the warning for using a signed certificate. The solution of @eskoba worked like a charm. The functions are NOT final, because I let the enter button press for 10 times. I made this, because the webdriver needs a long time until it actually calls the url. In the meantime he starts pressing already.

try changing screen size to "1920x1080" sometimes you do find trouble when screen size is inappropriate.

You are absolutely right that incidental and often changing details in the produced scripts is the biggest problem of record-and-playback automation. You can obviously remove the details from the scripts after recording, but in my opinion it's better to build reusable libraries and code scripts manually from the start.

A good alternative for coding scripts using "real" programming languages is using some higher level automation framework such as Robot Framework that you mentioned. As you speculated, Robot's reusable keywords and also variables make extracting details away from tests very easy. The test cases in SeleniumLibrary's demo illustrates this very well and the demo also shows how to use Selenium through Robot.

You also asked about Sikuli. I've never used it myself but it sure looks interesting. You might be interested on this great how-to that explains how to use it through Robot Framework.

You're trying to get an attribute value, so instead of getText() use getAttribute() :
