BEST SELLING AUTHORThe Cypress framework has become an instant hit in the automation testing world. Automation testers and developers love how easy it is to create tests in JavaScript that utilize modern web application APIs while helping us write maintainable tests. In addition, Cypress is easy to learn, fast to write tests in, and easy to extend.
When we talk about Cypress automation, we usually tend to think of automated tests which can be run against websites and web applications. However, unlike other testing frameworks, Cypress goes a step further by limiting the use of complicated tools or processes and giving you the freedom to write the automation code in pure JavaScript. As a result, Cypress is excellent for both developers new to automation testing and experienced folks who have been writing tests with tools like Protractor or Selenium for years.
To understand Cypress automation at a more granular level, LambdaTest hosted a webinar in association with Narayanan Palani - Best-Selling Author, Chapter Lead of Major Financial Institution, London. Harshit Paul, Product & Growth Manager at LambdaTest, joined him to demonstrate how to automate Cypress tests at scale.
The webinar starts with Narayanan explaining why Cypress testing is gaining popularity? With 18 releases of Cypress framework in 2021, it has amassed 231K users and is adding more every other day. Then, he talked about why Cypress is an all-around tool suited for full-stack engineers and how Cypress lets you perform E2E tests - Unit tests, Regression tests, Unit Integration tests, Cross browser tests, and more.
After introducing the LambdaTest platform, Harshit Paul explained how the platform could handle your automation needs from Cypress to Selenium automation testing. In addition, he explains the third-party integrations LambdaTest supports, viewing automation test logs, etc.
In the end, we held a Q&A session.
