Abstract

The massive growth of digital transformation influences different stages of SDLC. With the increasing expectations of speedy delivery and customer satisfaction growth, it is more crucial than ever to ship quality products and solutions faster.

Digital transformation is widely considered the cornerstone for developing a powerful competitive strategy across several business areas. Quality assurance (QA) is also constantly evolving due to increased emphasis on automation testing, continuous testing, and ultimately shifting testing left.

To realize the potential of digital transformation in the test automation world, LambdaTest hosted a webinar in association with The Economist. Dileep Marway - Head of Quality and Enablement (Engineering & Security) at The Economist collaborated with Harshit Paul - Product & Growth Manager at LambdaTest, to explain how digital transformation catalyzes automation testing changes.

The webinar starts with Dileep deep-diving into the essence of the QA community of practices (CoP). Then, he explained the qualifications of CoP - common interest, increased team collaboration, knowledge sharing across teams, and the art of actual doing. He further explains the principle and tips for building a CoP set the organization’s values like quality-first approach, gratitude, trustworthiness, etc.

Dileep emphasized the importance of the continuous building of QA transformation culture, i.e., QA is everyone’s responsibility to make the most out of testing techniques like test automation. Digital-first is the only strategy for organizations to stay relevant in this hyper-competitive business environment, and non-functionality testing is the prime pillar for enhancing the end-user experience.

Dileep further drills down to explain the importance of a web-based testing approach for improving product quality and browser compatibility testing of products. Lastly, he focussed on the key objectives of DevSecOps and the role of QA in the entire process.

After digging deep into the digital transformation and QA community of practices (CoP), Harshit introduced the LambdaTest platform and its features. Next, he demonstrated how to leverage the LambdaTest cloud grid to perform Selenium testing and Cypress testing at scale. Further, how you can use automation logs to view detailed test insights and debug issues faster.

In the end, we had an interesting Q&A session.
