About The Talk

Are you aware that DevTools does not provide accurate information about XPath and Selectors? Today, verifying selectors for shadow dom, nested shadow dom, and nested iframes is nearly impossible. This has long been a source of frustration for testers during UI automation.

Also, while DevTools was considered a standard solution for locators, did you know that DevTools does not generate correct selectors for all WebElements? Many dynamic invisible dropdowns take a long time to inspect and, in some cases, are impossible to inspect. No platform for debugging XPath and CSS Selectors can provide information such as what is wrong with selectors. And we've all lived with and continue to live with these issues.

In this talk, Sanjay will show how we all lived with these problems and are still doing things in the wrong way. He will discuss how we can use SelectorsHub and better locate XPath and CSS Selectors, which testers can use as part of our UI automation strategy.
