Siddharth Kaushal is an engineering leader with 18+ years of industry experience. In his current role as Director of Engineering at Frontdoor Inc, Siddharth is responsible for delivering high quality and scalable micro-services and solutions for multiple teams across the organization, which includes automation frameworks as well. Most of Siddharth’s previous experience has been around testing and building test automation frameworks/solutions using open source and proprietary tools, where got a chance to learn about changing trends in testing and test automation.
“Shift-left testing” term coined by Larry Smith in 2001, has been interpreted and implemented in different ways. Although goal for adopting shift-left testing revolves around the idea of early testing but the approach to reach that goal can differ at an organization or a team level. The intent of this presentation is to let the audience know about some of the common interpretations of shift-left testing followed by speaker's idea of shift-left testing with automation first mindset.
