Speedup your App Development and Testing Journey with GitHub and HyperExecute

Part 1: Workshop from Karan M.V. on Git, GitHub Actions and GitHub Copilot

Git is an essential part of any software development workflow today. In this workshop, we'll look at some of the essential version-control features of git like staging, commits, remotes, branching strategies and other features.

We will also cover GitHub Actions, which is a native feature on GitHub using which you can perform automation like testing or even run entire CI/CD pipelines all within GitHub.

Finally, we'll talk about GitHub Copilot, which is an AI pair programmer that helps developers and testers to code faster. GitHub Copilot suggests code and entire functions in real-time, right from your editor.

Part 2: End to end test automation using GitHub Co-pilot and HyperExecute by Divya SK

We will showcase how developers can build an end-to-end workflow all the way from creating code, unit test cases, integration and automation test cases for a website thereby covering all phases of development/testing. Further enriching this experience, we can add these test cases to a test suite on GitHub, fire the test suite using GitHub Actions and orchestrate executing the tests over HyperExecute, leveraging the power of HyperExecute to execute parallelly across different environments, browsers, platforms, form factors and devices.

Karan M.V.

Karan leads International Developer Relations (DevRel) for GitHub. He is on a mission to help every developer be a part of the open-source ecosystem and grow their software development skills through the power of GitHub. He runs programs to support developers' learning journey, help open source projects grow, and for engineers to better use GitHub in their development workflows. Being an active developer, he also frequently contributes to the development and improvement of the GitHub platform. You can also find him speaking at various developer events sharing his learnings, running workshops, or sharing tips & tricks. During his leisure time, you can find him developing side-projects, reading books of various genres, studying filmmaking, and honing his acting & stage-anchoring skills.
