The world of remote screen sharing allows us to try out Rhetoric, the Public Speaking Game. We’ll play an adapted version, where we can queue as many volunteers as the timeframe of the session allows, with topics framed around sharing two-minute talks on All Things Testing!
In each round, players roll the dice and the space the marker lands indicated the type of speaking challenge:
TOPIC gives a framing word to speak on, with option of 6 constraints: tell a story; use a quote; evoke the senses; draw an analog; use humor; call to action
CHALLENGE gives you a specific constraint.
QUESTION is an audience prompt for your topic, with option of 6 constraints: good, better, best; bad, worse, worst; past, present, future; one, two, three; pros, cons; and choice of any of the other five
REFLECTION is your chance to speak on anything
CHOICE allows you to pick any of the four others
