What is Playwright?

Developed by the Microsoft team, Playwright is a framework for end to end testing and web automation testing. As per the 2020 State of JavaScript survey, while Cypress adoption is on the rise, Playwright adoption is in the early stages of development.

The Playwright framework has 42.5k Star and 2k Fork on GitHub, which shows its growing popularity. It also provides fast test execution speeds and top-class unique features like Trace Viewer and Test Generator.
