How to open APK files on Chromebook?

Chromebooks now support downloading and installing Android apps from Google Play Store. However, not all Android apps are available on Google Play Store. A few apps are available outside of Google Play as APK files. You can install these apps on your Chromebook.

You must ensure your Chromebook supports Google Play Store and Android apps to install apps. After that, check your Chromebook OS's version and ensure it's up to date.

Now follow the below steps.

• Click the white circle-shaped Start button.


• If you want to see more applications, enter Play Store in the search menu or select the button above.


• Click on the Play Store icon.


• Select the Google Play box at the top of the screen. To find apps, use this search box.


• After selecting an app, select Install.
