How to inspect elements on Mac?

The Inspect Element feature lies within the code behind almost every website, allowing frontend and UI developers to debug UI errors or make quick edits in HTML or CSS scripts. Chrome and Firefox users can access the Inspect Element feature with a right-click, but Safari users operating on a Mac must enable this feature first before using it. Here's how you can do this:

Method 1: Enabling Inspect Element in Safari

  • Click on Safari at the top-left corner.
  • Select Preferences from the dropdown menu.
  • Head to the Advanced tab and check the "Show Develop menu in menu bar" option.
  • By doing so, your inspect element will be enabled. You can cross-check this by opening your Safari browser and right-clicking to find the option of "inspect element."

Method 2: Using Cloud-based Infrastructure Like LambdaTest for Real-Time Testing

  • Head to your LambdaTest account and select Real Time Testing from the sidebar.
  • Click on Browser Testing from the dropdown.
  • Now, choose your preferred Safari version, OS version, and resolution.
  • Right-click on any webpage and select the inspect element option.
