How to configure emulator settings?

The specific steps to configure emulator settings can vary based on the Android Emulator software you use. In this answer, we will take an example of Android Studio.

To configure the Android Emulator and run an application in your project, follow the below steps.

• To create an Android Virtual Device (AVD), navigate to Tools > AVD Manager and click + Create Virtual Device.
• A Select Hardware screen will appear. Now click Next.

In case you can't see your preferred hardware profile, you can try creating or importing a hardware profile.

• Once you see a System Image screen, select a system image for the specific API level and click Next. It will take you to a Verify Configuration screen.
• Verify the AVD parameter and click Finish.
• Select the AVD from the drop-down menu in the toolbar to run your app on the target device, and then click Run.
