How to use getOldValue method of org.openqa.selenium.devtools.events.DomMutationEvent class

I have tried it using Firefox.You need to guide Firefox so that it executes in the Xvfb.

You can try the following:

I found the answer and it worked for few Ajax and non-ajax sites I checked. After this patch I no longer need to do implicit waits even for ajax heavy pages, LeGac pointed out the following code in one of his comments to the question.

Implicit and Explicit Waits

Implicit Wait

An implicit wait is to tell WebDriver to poll the DOM for a certain amount of time when trying to find an element or elements if they are not immediately available. The default setting is 0. Once set, the implicit wait is set for the life of the WebDriver object instance.

driver.manage().timeouts().implicitlyWait(10, TimeUnit.SECONDS);

Explicit Wait + Expected Conditions

An explicit waits is code you define to wait for a certain condition to occur before proceeding further in the code. The worst case of this is Thread.sleep(), which sets the condition to an exact time period to wait. There are some convenience methods provided that help you write code that will wait only as long as required. WebDriverWait in combination with ExpectedCondition is one way this can be accomplished.

There are several things you can try:

• an Explicit elementToBeClickable Wait:

  WebDriverWait wait = new WebDriverWait(webDriver, 10);
  
  WebElement button = wait.until(ExpectedConditions.elementToBeClickable(By.id("myid")));
  button.click()
  

• move to element before making a click:

  Actions actions = new Actions(driver);
  actions.moveToElement(button).click().build().perform();
  

• make the click via javascript:

  JavascriptExecutor js = (JavascriptExecutor)driver;
  js.executeScript("arguments[0].click();", button);
  

I got it to work with Firefox webdriver by the following:

profile.SetPreference("network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris", "google.com");
driver = new FirefoxDriver(profile);

driver.Navigate().GoToUrl("http://user:pwd@google.com");

I found the work around as below

1. Open terminal
2. Navigate to path where your chromedriver file is located
3. Execute any one of the below commands

Command1: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine <name-of-executable>

Example

/usr/local/Caskroom/chromedriver 
$ xattr -d com.apple.quarantine chromedriver 

(or)

Command2: spctl --add --label 'Approved' <name-of-executable>

Note: This will work only with the file(s) where the above command is executed. If a new chromedriver is downloaded then the command has to be executed again on the newly downloaded file

Ok after 2 weeks I admit defeat and are using a workaround which works great for me at the moment.

The problem:
It is too difficult to port HTMLUnit to Android (or at least with my level of expertise). I am sure its a worthwhile project (and not that time consuming for experienced java programmer) . I emailed the guys at HTMLUnit and they commented that they are not looking into a port or what effort will be involved but suggested anyone who wants to start with such a project should send an message to their mailing list to get more developers involved (http://htmlunit.sourceforge.net/mail-lists.html).

The workaround:
I used android's built in WebView and overrided the onPageFinished method of Webview class to inject Javascript that grabs all the html after the page has fully loaded. Webview can also be used to called futher javascript actions, clicking buttons, filling in forms etc.

@Grasshopper 's answer points us to the exact modified constructor of FluentWait and your requirement of removing the deprecation warning from withTimeout and pollingEvery fields. Incase you are facing further difficulty you can use the line of code below :
