How to use getDownloadThroughput method of org.openqa.selenium.chromium.ChromiumNetworkConditions class

A good way to run Selenium Java code in Eclipse is to run them as JUnit tests.

1. Create a Maven Project in your Eclipse.
If you haven't done this before, see:

• How to install/integrate Maven with Eclipse
• How to create a simple Maven project

2. Add the following dependencies to your pom.xml file:

Use following-sibling axis :

So, the problem was that the cursor gets stuck sometimes when you call the click() function. So as a solution I used the Robot class to move my cursor and click on the export button and then I used Robot class to press Alt+S, which is a keyboard shortcut to save a file in IE.

To click on the button I used

CAUTION: If you use this on unix without GUI, you have this error:

No X11 DISPLAY variable was set, but this program performed an operation which requires it.

I look Xvfb plugin for Jenkins and Travis-ci and I re-edit this post.

If you use this on unix without GUI, you can use Jenkins + Xvfb plugin.

Ok, after hours and even days of research, I found the solution:

For JDK 9 and above, when defining the pom.xml, you have to exclude that sub-dependency whenever you will use a dependency that contains it. In my case, the cobertura dependency included sun.com:tools.

What I edited in my pom.xml file:

This seems to be still an open issue for some maven dependencies. Check: issues1 or issues2 or Google search: <dependency_you_are_using> sun tools for more info.

You can also check pageloaded using following code

Divi's answer for question 2 is fine. For part 1 you can check if an element is displayed like you said:

 webElement.isDisplayed();

Or you could compare the html of the page before and after the event.

driver.getPageSource();

(You could possibly also check the url if that changes after each event).

The one problem with getting the source of the html is that an event might have triggered after your last action and not have completed, leaving the html the same. To get around this you could check some of the following conditions:

(Boolean) ((JavascriptExecutor)driver).executeScript("return jQuery.ready"); 
((JavascriptExecutor)driver).executeScript("return document.readyState").equals("complete");

Or you might be using another javascript framework that has another function similar to jQuery.ready.

Finally you might have an issue with the event only triggering once you have changed the active element, tabbing out of the field etc. So you could run something like:

Or you could use javascript to set it(I haven't checked the below code and I would set the webElement to the html base element):

I don't suggest using webdriver to click on the body element as this might undo your last click.

I'm including Divi's answer for Question 2 for completeness:

We can check whether it is redirecting to another page or not by getting the url of the page and comparing it with expected url

driver.getCurrentUrl() // will returns the String value

if your currrent url doesn't matches with your expected url means then you go for two ways

1) You can open your expected url again by using Open function in selenium (or) webdriver navigate method

driver.navigate().to("expected_url");

2) You can use back navigation

driver.navigate().back();

The stacktrace you shared is not the stacktrace, but I think the testng log.
The example you provided actually works. I just made the test fail, because in the @AfterMethod a screenshot is taken only if the test fails: if(!result.isSuccess())
Then when I ran the example again, I got:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\screenshot2.png (Access is denied)
Then I changed the location of the picture to be on D: where the permissions are correct, and it worked end to end, I can see the screenshot.
