How to use getPosition method of org.openqa.selenium.Interface WebDriver.Window class

I believe you can do this with Python, however it isn't packaged as simply as a FluentWait class. Some of this was covered in the documentation you provided by not extensively.

The WebDriverWait class has optional arguments for timeout, poll_frequency, and ignored_exceptions. So you could supply it there. Then combine it with an Expected Condition to wait for elements for appear, be clickable, etc... Here is an example:

Obviously you can combine the wait/element into one statement but I figured this way you can see where this is implemented.

Your problem is that // makes you go back to search from top root element.

Which means

WebElement rowElement = tableElement.findElement(By.xpath("//tr[2]"));

Is as good as

WebElement rowElement = driver.findElement(By.xpath("//tr[2]"));

If you need to search only inside the current element then you should use

WebElement rowElement = tableElement.findElement(By.xpath(".//tr[2]"));

You can use this:

It is possible to wait for one of two elements in the page using ExpectedConditions.or():

    ExpectedConditions.elementToBeClickable(By.id("idNumber2"))

You can also do an OR with a CSS selector using a comma ,:

wait.until(ExpectedConditions.elementToBeClickable(By.cssSelector("#idNumber1, #idNumber2"));

You can kill the Browser instance initiated using Selenium retriving the PID from the capabilities object and then invoking getRuntime() with taskkill /PID as follows:

java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError happens because the code was compiled with a higher version of Java than the one you're running it.

Version 51.0 of a class file corresponds to java 7

J2SE 8 = 52,
J2SE 7 = 51,
J2SE 6.0 = 50,
J2SE 5.0 = 49,
JDK 1.4 = 48,
JDK 1.3 = 47,
JDK 1.2 = 46,
JDK 1.1 = 45

You need to upgrade your JDK from Java 6 to Java 7 or higher.

If there has been any changes to the page after you have initially found the element the webdriver reference will now contain a stale reference. As the page has changed, the element will no longer be where webdriver expects it to be.

To solve your issue, try finding the element each time you need to use it - writing a small method that you can call as and when is a good idea.

Then within your code you'd only need to:

clickAnElementByLinkText("Logout");

So each time it will find the element and click on it, as such even if the page changes as it is 'refreshing' the reference to that element it all successfully click it.

If this is slower, then consider something like

dropDown.selectByValue(value);
or

dropDown.selectByVisibleText(text);
