Getting Error while running moveToElement() method in selenium webdriver?

There's probably a click event transmitted to the <input type="file"> element, which opens the file dialog.

One way to overcome this issue is to disable the internal click by overriding the method. This piece of JavaScript will disable the internal click for each <input type="file"> element:

((JavascriptExecutor)driver).executeScript(
    "HTMLInputElement.prototype.click = function() {                     " +
    "  if(this.type !== 'file') HTMLElement.prototype.click.call(this);  " +
    "};                                                                  " );

Then upload the file by calling .sendKeys("full file path") on the <input type="file"> element.

In some cases, the <input type="file"> only resides in memory. If that's the case, you'll have to insert it in the page:

((JavascriptExecutor)driver).executeScript(
    "HTMLInputElement.prototype.click = function () {" +
    "    if (this.type !== 'file') {" +
    "        HTMLElement.prototype.click.call(this);" +
    "    }" +
    "    else if (!this.parentNode) {" +
    "        this.style.display = 'none';" +
    "        this.ownerDocument.documentElement.appendChild(this);" +
    "        this.addEventListener('change', () => this.remove());" +
    "    }" +
    "}");

Speed Up Automated Parallel Testing In Selenium With TestNG

Cross browser testing can turn out to be stressful and time consuming if performed manually. Imagine the amount of manual efforts required to test an application on multiple browsers and versions. Infact, you will be amused to believe a lot of test estimation efforts are accounted for while considering multiple browsers compatibility with the application under test.

Why Understanding Regression Defects Is Important For Your Next Release

‘Regression’ a word that is thought of with a lot of pain by software testers around the globe. We are aware of how mentally taxing yet indispensable Regression testing can be for a release window. Sometimes, we even wonder whether regression testing is really needed? Why do we need to perform it when a bug-free software can never be ready? Well, the answer is Yes! We need to perform regression testing on regular basis. The reason we do so is to discover regression defects. Wondering what regression defects are and how you can deal with them effectively? Well, in this article, I will be addressing key points for you to be aware of what regression defects are! How you can discover and handle regression defects for a successful release.

Building a Regression Testing Strategy for Agile Teams

If Agile development had a relationship status, it would have been it’s complicated. Where agile offers a numerous advantages like faster go to market, faster ROI, faster customer support, reduced risks, constant improvement etc, some very difficult challenges also follow. Out of those one of the major one is the headache of maintaining a proper balance between sprint development and iterative testing. To be precise agile development and regression testing.
