Are members of agile teams different from members of other teams? Both yes and no. Yes, because some of the behaviors we observe in agile teams are more distinct than in non-agile teams. And no, because we are talking about individuals!

As part of one of my consulting efforts, I worked with a mid-sized company that was looking to move toward a more agile manner of developing software. Many theoretical descriptions explain the role of the Scrum Master as a vital member of the Scrum team. However, these descriptions do not provide an honest answer to the fundamental question: “What are the day-to-day activities of a Scrum Master?”
