How to use ZeroMqEventBus.RejectedEvent class of org.openqa.selenium.events.zeromq package

Below are steps:

1. Options->Format -> select format of your choice eg. junit/testng/isfw
2. Go to Source tab.

To export test case in specific format use

File->Export Test Case As -> select format

One of the useful feature of Selenium IDE is, it provide option to set clipboard format so that you can copy commands form table view and paste in format of your choice of language.

To me, the most simple and efficient solution was to do this

I tried using Sanjay Bhimani's example but it didn't work so looked into the available constructors and ended up with the above code.

The behaviour is intended. Here is how it works -

1. You issue driver.get(B). It triggers the browser to open the webpage and then it doesnt have anything to do with the browser, so it doesnt care whether an alert is open or not.
2. When the page loads, pop-up dialog appears, but nothing happens on your code side or Eclipse.
3. When you try to perform another operation, it interacts with browser and sees an unexpected popup dialog.

Now, the problem occurs that modal dialog closes and still exception occurs, so try the following.

1. Enclose your second operation in a try/catch and handle UnhandledAlertException
2. Inside that catch block, perform, driver -> switch to -> alert -> accept
3. After the catch block, perform the second operation again.

That message (with version 50.0) indicates that Selenium server requires java 6 to run, but you're trying to run it with some earlier version of java.

To find out what version of java you're using, run:

java -version

If you have java 6 installed, but it isn't getting used, you may have to give the full path name to the java executable, so something like this if on linux:

/usr/local/jre6/bin/java -jar selenium.jar

or like this if on windows:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -jar selenium.jar

(Of course, you'll need to adjust that command to match where java actually lives on your machine)

Even though I'm somewhat late answering the question:

You can now use WebElement.isDisplayed() to check if an element is visible.

Note:

There are many reasons why an element could be invisible. Selenium tries cover most of them, but there are edge cases where it does not work as expected.

For example, isDisplayed() does return false if an element has display: none or opacity: 0, but at least in my test, it does not reliably detect if an element is covered by another due to CSS positioning.

You can set the useAutomationExtension capability to false.

    ChromeOptions options = new ChromeOptions();
    options.setExperimentalOption("useAutomationExtension", false);
    WebDriver driver = new ChromeDriver(options);

This capability will help to not load Chrome Automation extension. Due to which, "Failed to load extension" popup would not appear.

But please note you will not be able to perform any window resizing/positioning operations without the Chrome automation extension.

You are passing paramter <parameter name="Visit" value="123456"/> in your .xml file and you directly running your TestNG class. So it's not getting that parameter while compiling .

So you need to run your xml suite to provide a valid parameter to your TestNG class.

Actually, your above question is different than the actual question hence you should have asked it as a separate question. Still, I'm answering to your previous question.

The error is because the element you're trying to click on isn't visible. Before you click on element, it should be visible. You can do this by following -

WebElement element = driver.findElement(By.xpath("//div[2]/div[2]"));
WebDriverWait wait = new WebDriverWait(driver, 20); //here, wait time is 20 seconds

wait.until(ExpectedConditions.visibilityOf(element)); //this will wait for elememt to be visible for 20 seconds
element.click(); //now it clicks on element

If above doesn't work, you can click on element by executing javascript(but this isn't a good practice)

JavascriptExecutor js = (JavascriptExecutor)driver;
js.executeScript("arguments[0].click();", element);

The text you want is present in a text node and cannot be retrieved directly with Selenium since it only supports element nodes.

You could remove the beginning:
