How to use test_Interception_should_work_with_request_interception method in Playwright Python

You can use a factory function here to pass the page, and the global_variable. Keep in mind that navigating away from the page from inside the callable will lead to an error. So make sure whatever you are clicking does not change the current URL of the page.

def wrapper(page, global_variable):
    def test(event):
        page.locator('//*[@id="n-currentevents"]/a').click()  # Action before boolean
        if event.url == 'https://en.wikipedia.org/':

Then, you can register the above function using page.wait_for_event like this:

page.wait_for_event('request', wrapper(page, global_variable))

Remember: You need to pass functions/callables (not their return values) to page.wait_for_event

Please make sure your above configuration was correct. There are some spelling mistakes in the settings. Its like PLAYWRIGHT_BROWSERS_PATH = 0

The problem was that you were searching specifically for the text "Morocco" to be present. It would not have been there if you were from another country since alibaba uses country detection. Your last code line, i.e. page.locator("text=Save").click() was also faulty. The text "Save" resided inside a descendant element which you need to account for.

In general, it is always a good idea to make your locaters as general and flexible as possible to account for minor website changes done by the admin. Therefore, instead of using text to find the elements, maybe you should try using CSS selectors instead?

Another way is to simply use the getAttribute() method of the elementHandle to retrieve the value:

value = handle.getAttribute("value")

The accepted answer does not work with the newer versions of Playwright. (Thanks @576i for pointing this out)

Here is the Python code that works with the newer versions (tested with version 1.5):

To get only the text, use the inner_text() function.

Use a for loop to iterate over dictionary contained in cookies and check if it contains name which has value equal to "auth_token" or not, if it does then access the "value" key of that dictionary.

Doing something similar for a project of mine, this is how I would do it.

Thing is the code snippet from the playwright docs is more about opening a new page after clicking a link on an existing page. Since you already have the urls ready, you can just visit each page one by one, and do your scraping.
