  • Exploring the GPU Load Testing Through Generative AI Workloads: In this talk, Vishnu Murty Karrotu will introduce a new way to do GPU load testing using Generative AI tasks with Python-Docker setup and JMeter. He uses Nvidia GPUs and the Stable Diffusion model to mimic real-world scenarios for performance testing.

Diego Molina, Staff Software Engineer at Sauce Labs, will discuss Selenium’s strengths, including browser compatibility, cross-platform support, and a strong ecosystem, as well as its extensive community support and various programming language bindings.
  • However, he will also address challenges like Selenium’s steep learning curve, the need for explicit waits, handling dynamic elements, and the maintenance overhead of test scripts.

  • How to Use Personalized AI Agents to Speed Up Software Development & Improve Code Quality: In this session, Eran Yahav, CTO of Tabnine, will demonstrate practical ways to make AI tools more relevant to specific needs, significantly enhancing developer productivity and code quality.

  • Chaos as an Art: Crafting Chaos, Creating Order: In this talk, Yusuf Tayman, Lead QA Engineer at OpenPayd, will explore how to transform chaos into order and turn disorder into a masterpiece.   • Selenium Beyond the Nitty Gritty of the Programming Language: In this workshop by Pallavi Sharma, Founder of 5 Elements Learning and Mosaic Words, you will explore the Selenium tool for automated web testing. The session will cover how to start with Selenium, irrespective of the programming language. Participants will learn about Selenium’s features and the basics of web automation.
  • Dancing With the Metrics: Monitoring for Keeping on Track: In this session, Mesut Durukal, Senior QA Automation Engineer at Indeed, will explore how to measure and ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • The discussion will focus on identifying key quality metrics and methods to track them effectively. You will learn how to manage and automate the collection of multiple metrics and understand what steps to take after gathering the data.

  • Data Validation Framework: Manoj Kumar Anand, Quality Assurance Engineer at AWS, and Pranavi Kandagadla Prasad, Quality Assurance Manager at AWS, will present a session on creating a generic data validation framework for file-based target systems.
  • They will discuss the complexity of data validation and the lack of one-size-fits-all solutions, emphasizing the need for a customizable framework. The framework they introduce, built using native AWS services and available as a CDK, leverages the data quality feature in AWS Glue. She will highlight figures like Ada Lovelace, Hedy Lamarr, Grace Hopper, and Joan Clarke, aiming to shed light on the historical role of women in shaping computer science.

  • The talk will reveal how testing’s first law—’ Never make assumptions’—contrasts with product ownership’s first law—’Be aware that you’re always making an assumption.’

  • BiDi-ing Farewell to Cross-Browser Automation Headaches: This talk by Matthias Rohmer, Developer Relations Engineer at Google, will cover existing automation solutions, their challenges, and how WebDriver BiDi addresses these issues. Real-world examples will be provided to show how attendees can implement these improvements in their automation workflows.
  • Revolutionizing API Testing and Development With AI: In this session by Pooja Mistry from Postman, she will look at how Postman uses advanced AI and automation. You will learn how AI can improve your testing strategies and automate repetitive tasks. Also, discover practical techniques for integrating AI into your API workflows.
  • Testing Your Test: In this session, Andres Sacco will explain how to measure the effectiveness of your tests. Many developers write unit tests to validate code and increase coverage. It seems fine initially, but issues arise when code changes, and tests still pass. He will demonstrate the Pitest tool for evaluating test quality.
  • The Good and Bad of Contract Testing: Wessel Braakman from Bouvet ASAtalk will discuss how contract testing can change things. It will point out common mistakes and give tips on how to use it well in development. Developers and testers will learn how to use contract testing to make their systems more reliable and efficient.
  • Shifting Left – From Dream to Reality: In this session, Patrick Delamere, Principle Director at Accenture Song, will introduce StackMore and its role in simplifying environment provisioning to support shift-left testing. He will demonstrate how StackMore can improve both developer and tester experiences by quickly setting up critical environments and test automation tools.
  • Patrick will also show how StackMore integrates with LambdaTest to drive test automation processes. Additionally, he will explain how GenAI is used within StackMore to help developers and testers understand and use the solution more effectively.

  • Changing Role of Quality Engineering in the Age of AI: In this panel, experts like Ben, Garie, Jammie, and others will explore the changing role of quality engineering in the AI era. They will discuss how AI adoption is transforming organizational trends, processes, and roles, addressing challenges and biases in AI models.
  • How to Scalably Test LLMs: In this talk, Anand Kannappan will address the unpredictability of LLM behavior and focus on the most reliable automated methods for scalable testing of LLMs.
  • He will highlight that intrinsic evaluation metrics like perplexity are often poorly correlated with human judgments and should not be used for post-training evaluation. Anand will also point out that open-source LLM benchmarks are now unreliable for measuring AI progress, as most LLM developers have already trained on them.

Day 3: 23rd August

  • Learn How to Improve the Accessibility of Your App: This session by Harris Schneiderman, Senior Product Manager at Deque, will be on integrating Intelligent Guided Tests, computer vision, and AI with human judgment. The session will cover how this combination can prevent accessibility issues from reaching production and help deliver cleaner, more accessible code.
  • Using State Machines With Playwright: Gopi Shankar Haridas, SDET at Direct Line Group, will discuss state machines and state charts in the context of automation with Playwright. He will introduce the JavaScript state machine library XState and explain how to create state machines, as well as define states, transitions, and actions using XState.
  • The talk will include how to use the actions property for state transitions and how to integrate XState with Playwright. Gopi will also demonstrate how to write and execute tests with XState.

  • Beyond Numbers: From Reports to Insight: Hrishi Potdar, Quality Engineering Architect at Boomi, will address the key differences between information and knowledge in today’s data-driven world. As software development generates vast amounts of data through tests, processes, and practices, it’s essential to deliver the right data to the right customers within an organization.
  • He will discuss the challenges of adding visibility into relevant data in mid to large organizations and explore common questions such as readiness for release, coverage, and risk areas. The talk will emphasize the importance of test reporting in decision-making to maintain high quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.

  • How to Measure Code Coverage for Blackbox Tests: Kulas Angeles, Director of Software Quality Engineering at Sun Life Financial, will present a talk focusing on leveraging Jacoco to measure coverage for black-box tests.
  • He will highlight the key benefits of implementing this approach, including paving the way for holistic testing, providing metrics to identify quality gaps and ensure traceability, and fostering accountability and discussion between developers and quality engineers. The session will also feature a short demo to showcase how JaCoCo can be used effectively for coverage measurement.

  • How to Start Unf**king Your Tests: In this session, Filip Hric, DevRel at Replay.io, will cover test flakes and their causes. He’ll show that these issues are not random but determined by software. The talk includes live code examples for preventing flakes and a comparison of flake prevention in Cypress and Playwright. It will also highlight the need to shift focus from test flakiness to app flakiness.
