We’re back with the latest LambdaTest update and trust us, you don’t want to miss this one!

August was nothing short of epic for us at LambdaTest. We celebrated our 7th anniversary in style and hosted our third virtual Testμ 2024 —a global gathering that brought the testing world together.

A big highlight of Testμ 2024 was the launch of KaneAI, the world’s first end-to-end AI agent. Launched on the Testμ 2024 Day 1, KaneAI quickly grabbed everyone’s attention, and the excitement around this new product line has been incredible.

In August, we also had some other features rolled out in HyperExecute, Test Manager, and real device cloud.

With real-time debugging, you can quickly spot and fix bugs during testing sessions, making your workflow more efficient. Capture screenshots, record videos, and generate logs effortlessly to document your findings and share insights with your team. The easy-to-use interface provides detailed reports and insights, streamlining the testing process.

New Features in Test Manager

Test Manager just got a whole lot better! Here are some of the latest features we have added:

  • You can now copy and move multiple test cases across different folders and projects. This feature streamlines organizing and managing your test cases, making it easier to keep your testing structure organized.
  • We’ve introduced support for linking HyperExecute tests with Test Cases. This feature currently supports Selenium, Playwright, Puppeteer, and Cypress, enabling seamless integration and management of your automated tests within Test Manager.
  • We’ve expanded our custom fields functionality in Test Cases with support for seven new data types. The new options include Dropdown – Single Select, Dropdown – Multi Select, Number, URL, Date, User, and Boolean (Checkbox), allowing for more flexible and tailored data management within your test cases.
  • Next, we’ve enhanced the CSV import functionality. You can now import test steps, expected outcomes, and BDD scenarios directly when importing Test Cases via CSV. This update makes it easier to streamline your test case management by bringing in all essential details in one go.
  • You can now include Test Case IDs in the capabilities of your web automation scripts (e.g., “tms.tc_id”: “TC-101”). This feature lets you link your automation runs directly to specific test cases in the Test Manager, streamlining the connection between your automated tests and your test case management.

Latest Upgrades in HyperExecute

HyperExecute has introduced some powerful new features to enhance your testing workflow:

  • Dynamic Email Address for Report Sharing: The HyperExecute CLI has been updated to enhance the flexibility of the –vars flag, allowing you to set dynamic email addresses for sharing reports and artifacts. Instead of hardcoding email addresses in your YAML configuration file, you can now use variables to specify them.
  • Accessibility Testing for Selenium and Cypress: HyperExecute now supports accessibility testing for both Selenium and Cypress, helping you ensure your web applications meet accessibility standards like WCAG 2.2 AA.

Test on the Latest Browsers

We have added the latest browsers in Real Time Browser Testing for desktop browser testing:

  • Chrome 129 Beta, 128
  • Firefox 130 Beta, 129
  • Edge 128 Beta, 127

Summing Up!

To sum up, August was a big month for LambdaTest. We introduced KaneAI, our new AI testing assistant, and rolled out new features for Test Manager and HyperExecute. Moreover, we added support to test on Google Pixel 9. Thanks for staying with us—more updates are on the way!
