In 2024, we made a major leap forward with the launch of KaneAI, our first-ever end-to-end software testing assistant. Designed specifically for high-speed quality engineering teams, KaneAI brought a host of groundbreaking AI-powered features that changed the way tests are created, managed, and debugged.

This product launch was a game-changer, simplifying complex testing processes and empowering teams to work faster and smarter. With KaneAI, users could now generate automated tests, debug them, and even evolve test cases—all through natural language.

One of the standout features of 2024 was the launch of the AI-powered unified Test Manager. By integrating artificial intelligence, we have revolutionized how teams manage, track, and execute tests.

The AI-powered insights give teams real-time recommendations, helping them make smarter decisions, prioritize tests better, and get more done in less time. It’s all about reducing complexity and making testing smoother for everyone involved.

LambdaTest Accessibility DevTools Chrome Extension

2024 was a year of huge progress in terms of accessibility. LambdaTest launched the Accessibility DevTools Chrome Extension, which allows you to run accessibility audits directly from your desktop browsers.

It’s simple to use yet incredibly powerful. It delivers detailed WCAG violation reports and offers insights on how to make websites and web applications more accessible. With accessibility at the forefront of digital design, this extension makes it easier than ever to build inclusivity into your web projects from the start.

LambdaTest Accessibility Automation

Other than manual accessibility testing, in 2024, we also released Accessibility Automation, a feature to streamline accessibility testing for websites and web apps. This helps you identify and address accessibility issues, ensuring that your digital platforms are inclusive and usable for everyone, including individuals with impairments.

Accessibility Automation makes it easier than ever to create an equitable user experience. It empowers your team to effortlessly meet accessibility standards. It is supported by frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.

Mobile Accessibility Testing on Android and iOS

LambdaTest extended its accessibility testing capabilities to Android apps on real devices. The screen reader feature, akin to Google TalkBack, allows you to evaluate how app elements were navigated through spoken descriptions, ensuring compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

After that, we released manual accessibility testing for iOS apps, as well as for web and native apps, on the real device cloud, making it easier to ensure inclusivity for all users, including those with impairments.

LambdaTest GitHub Copilot Extension

We introduced the LambdaTest GitHub Copilot extension, revolutionizing how you can handle and execute test workflows directly within their IDEs.

The extension seamlessly bridges the gap between development and testing, making it easier to integrate these processes into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). By enabling automated testing at critical stages, it ensures that high-quality code is delivered faster and more efficiently.

Analytics AI CoPilot Dashboard

Last year, we unveiled the AI Copilot Dashboard, a feature that redefined how teams interact with test insights. It allowed users to ask intuitive questions directly within the dashboard, making it easier to uncover critical insights and make smarter decisions.

The AI Copilot Dashboard provided detailed analysis of performance metrics, highlighted trends, and delivered accurate forecasts. By simplifying complex data into actionable steps, it streamlined workflows and empowered teams to stay ahead with confidence.

SmartUI Annotation Tool

We rolled out the SmartUI Annotation tool, which takes visual testing to a whole new level. Designed to streamline the way you annotate design screenshots, this tool makes it easier to highlight areas needing improvement across different builds, ensuring precision and clarity in your workflows.

The SmartUI Annotation tool introduced several standout features:

• Drawing on Screenshots: Effortlessly draw over compared screenshots to focus on specific elements that require attention.
• Enhanced Box Management: With the Draw Cursor option and Add Region button, you can create and manage multiple boxes, complete with visible size indicators for added accuracy.
• Flexible Saving Options: A dialog popup lets you apply your annotations to just the current screenshot or across all browser variants, giving you full control.

SmartUI Figma CLI

To further enhance visual testing, we launched the SmartUI Figma CLI, making it easier than ever to integrate Figma components into automated visual testing workflows.

The SmartUI Figma CLI lets you define Figma components directly within configuration files and upload them to the SmartUI platform, enabling efficient and hassle-free testing.

With the SmartUI CLI for Figma, you can say goodbye to complex coding and intricate setups. It’s designed to provide an intuitive workflow that streamlines visual testing, helping you focus on delivering exceptional designs with minimal effort.

Smart Ignore in SmartUI

For dynamic, content-heavy web applications, we introduced the Smart Ignore in SmartUI. Designed to reduce false positives from minor element shifts, it distinguishes between actual content changes and insignificant variations.

This not only minimizes distractions but also keeps your focus on what truly matters. Smart Ignore can be enabled globally via Project Settings or applied selectively per screenshot using the Diff Options dropdown, offering flexibility to suit diverse project needs.

Mobile Application Testing on iPhone 16 Series

LambdaTest expanded its real device cloud to test on iPhone 16 series with iOS 18, providing unmatched precision for manual and automated testing of mobile apps.

This addition allows teams to ensure cross-browser compatibility, UI responsiveness, and native app performance on the newest iPhone models.

An Enhanced UnderPass Application

We’ve taken the UnderPass application to the next level with some significant upgrades. By moving from Electron v7 to the latest Electron v32, the UnderPass application now offers enhanced stability, faster performance, and seamless compatibility across all operating systems.

Here’s what’s new:

• Bring Your Own Device (BYOD): Real device support is now available, making UnderPass even more versatile for BYOD setups.
• NTLM Flag and Private IP Support: Added functionality ensures improved compatibility and security for private network configurations.
• UI/UX Enhancements: The interface has been redesigned to provide a smoother, more intuitive experience.

Availability of HyperExecute as Azure Native Integration

In 2024, HyperExecute, a test orchestration platform, became available as an Azure Native Integration, offering unparalleled testing efficiency and scalability for users on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

Benefits:

• Seamless Access via Azure Marketplace: HyperExecute can now be found directly on the Azure Marketplace, streamlining its adoption and integration into existing Azure workflows.
• Enhanced Test Orchestration:: Teams can run tests at blazing speeds with HyperExecute’s smart execution capabilities, ensuring faster feedback loops and better productivity.
• Native Azure Benefits: By leveraging Azure’s infrastructure, users can gain access to robust performance, global reach, and secure testing environments that complement HyperExecute’s advanced features.

Issued 1500+ Certifications

In 2024, LambdaTest took a significant step in supporting the testing community by issuing over 1500 certifications. These LambdaTest Certifications aimed to empower testers by validating their skills and expertise in various tools and frameworks, further enabling them to advance in their careers.

We also collaborated with Accenture to organize a highly successful Testathon event, which certified 100+ candidates. This initiative recognized emerging talent and underscored our commitment to advancing the global testing community.

We also expanded our certification portfolio with the launch of Appium 101 and Espresso 101 certifications. These certifications were designed to provide in-depth knowledge of mobile app testing, helping testers build expertise in automation frameworks and boost their career prospects.

Successfully Hosted Testµ 2024 – 3rd Edition

LambdaTest successfully hosted the third edition of Testμ 2024. When we launched Testμ in 2022, our vision was to create a platform that united quality practitioners from around the world under one virtual roof.

Over the years, Testμ has grown into much more—a community-driven event that resonates with professionals across the globe. This year’s conference set new benchmarks and became a truly global celebration of testing and innovation.

Highlights:

• 30,000+ testers, developers, and tech enthusiasts joined us.
• Attendees represented 105+ countries, making it a truly global event.
• At its peak, the conference had 11,736 active attendees engaging in real-time.
• Engaging discussions and interactions filled the event with questions, comments, and emojis that enriched every session.
